Usernames Issue
Hi all! I noticed lately that there are some newly registered members on our community. The problem is that some of them just register and do nothing, no posts, no contributions whatsoever - which makes me think they're just like CounterStrike bots.
I noticed that there was a user "yousucker85" who just registered recently - if he really is a person, I'm sorry but I had to delete the account - it's like people try to find ways to irritate the moderating team and the latest "finding" (as in "discovery" of a way of fun for trolls) is to register accounts and even if they don't post anything, they just need attention and so they try to get it by using weird and somehow nasty user-names as mentioned above.
It's about good common sense people, it is one thing to chose a user-name like "sun-flower", "smilie", "kate-fan" and so on - with the meaning leading to something nice or interesting, and it is a totally different thing to chose a username like "yousucker", "idiot", and many other unpolite and offensive words. We tend to think that our members have some self esteem, or at least (if they don't respect themselves or don't think too good of themselves - I don't know anyone like that but just in case there are) they have the decency to chose a pleasant username. And no, this is not about limiting your freedom of choice, but since we also need good common sense around here I had to tell you this.
And since we're at this topic I'd like to ask in a very polite and nice manner the new members who have registered an account and haven't made any posts so far - to make a contribution, post replies to threads, post pictures - don't just stand there behind a computer screen taking all for granted. As a community we are what we are because everybody contributes in one way or another. If we all just stood and wait for somebody else to do the job for us we woudn't have gotten so far, not in a million years.
Have a lovely day!
Cheers!
